New models aim to predict liver disease in HIV patients

Summary

This study looked at 315 HIV-positive adults to build models that predict fatty liver disease and liver scarring. Researchers used ultrasound and FibroScan tests to track liver changes over time. The goal was to better understand and identify liver problems early in people living with HIV.
