Summary
This study looked at whether a lab-made antibody called VRC01 could help people with HIV control the virus without taking daily HIV medication. Thirteen people who got HIV during a vaccine study and had been on HIV drugs for at least a year stopped their medication under close monitoring. The goal was to see if their immune system could keep HIV in check, and how long they could stay off treatment safely.
