First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding a nerve block to the back of the hip to two standard front-hip blocks can improve pain relief after hip surgery. About 50 adults having hip surgery will be split into two groups to compare pain scores and the need for extra pain medicine in the first 24 hours. The goal is to reduce pain and the use of strong opioid drugs.
