First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study compares two types of nerve blocks (DIPB and SIFIB) to see which provides better pain relief after hip replacement surgery. 70 adults having hip surgery will receive one of the two blocks, and researchers will measure their pain, need for extra pain medicine, and leg weakness for 48 hours after surgery. The goal is to find a method that controls pain well while allowing patients to move their legs sooner for a faster recovery.
