Summary
This study looked at whether high-intensity interval training (HIIT) — short bursts of intense exercise with rest in between — can improve physical fitness in older adults. 39 people aged 60 and older took part in a structured HIIT program. Results showed significant gains in muscle strength, flexibility, endurance, and agility, suggesting HIIT is a safe and efficient way to support healthy aging and daily independence.
