HIIT study for prediabetes withdrawn before starting

NCT ID NCT06143345

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study was designed to see if high-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a practical and acceptable exercise program for adults aged 35-65 with overweight and isolated impaired fasting glucose (a form of prediabetes). The plan was to enroll 34 people and measure how many would join, stick with the program, and find it helpful. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
