Intense walking workouts boost speed in spinal cord injury patients

Summary
This study tested whether high-intensity walking training improves walking speed and endurance more than lower-intensity walking in people with chronic, motor incomplete spinal cord injury. 53 adults with this condition participated. The goal was to see if pushing harder during walking exercises leads to better recovery of movement.
