First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if a new type of ultrasound, called acoustic angiography, could better detect breast and thyroid cancers compared to standard ultrasound. The plan was to scan 45 people, including healthy volunteers and patients scheduled for biopsies. However, the study was stopped early because of insufficient funding, and only a small number of people took part, so the results are limited.
