First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at how different levels of pressure from a breathing machine affect the heart in people with moderate-to-severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Researchers will test three different pressure settings in 20 adults to see how lung collapse or overstretching impacts blood flow. The goal is to find the best balance to protect both the lungs and the heart.
