New combo therapy aims to shrink hard-to-treat stomach tumors before surgery

Summary

This study tests whether a short course of radiation combined with immunotherapy and chemotherapy can shrink advanced gastroesophageal junction cancer enough to allow surgery. About 88 adults with locally advanced or unresectable disease will participate. The goal is to improve tumor response and safety, with the hope of making surgery possible.
