Ancient herbs meet modern medicine in fight against senior heart disease
NCT ID NCT07493603
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a specific Chinese herbal formula, called Yiyang Huoluo Decoction, to standard heart medications is safe and more effective for treating coronary artery disease and hardening of the arteries in adults aged 50-75. Researchers will compare two groups over 12 weeks: one receiving standard care and the other receiving standard care plus the herbal granules. The goal is to see if the combination improves symptoms, reduces artery re-narrowing after a stent, and is safe for participants.
