Ancient herbs meet modern medicine in fight against senior heart disease
NCT ID NCT07493603
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a specific Chinese herbal formula (Yiyang Huoluo Decoction) to standard heart medications can better treat coronary artery disease and hardening of the arteries in adults aged 50-75. Researchers will compare two groups over 12 weeks: one receiving standard care alone and one receiving standard care plus the herbal granules. The goal is to see if the combination improves symptoms, is safe, and helps repair damaged blood vessels.
