Summary
This study is testing whether some patients with early-stage, HER2-positive breast cancer can safely avoid chemotherapy before surgery. Researchers are using a special scan and specific tumor markers to identify patients whose cancer is highly dependent on the HER2 protein. These selected patients will receive a targeted two-drug combination (PHESGO™) instead of chemotherapy before their surgery to see if it works just as well.
