Jail program aims to cure hepatitis c and stop its spread
NCT ID NCT06953479
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple, easy-to-follow hepatitis C treatment program can work well in a jail setting. It will give 40 adults in jail a 12-week medication course and provide support to help them finish treatment, even if they are released early. The main goal is to see if this approach helps more people get cured of hepatitis C and can be used in other jails to reduce the spread of the virus.
