New jail program aims to cure hepatitis c and stop its spread
NCT ID NCT06953479
Summary
This study is testing a simple, easy-to-use hepatitis C treatment program for people in jail. It will give 40 participants a 12-week medication course and support from community health workers, especially if they are released before finishing treatment. The main goal is to see if this approach helps people start and complete treatment more easily, leading to a cure, and if it could be used in other jails.
