First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a combination of two antiviral drugs (entecavir and pegylated interferon) can cure chronic hepatitis B in children aged 3 to 6. About 60 children with active infection will receive either one drug or both in sequence. The goal is to clear the virus and keep it undetectable for at least 24 weeks after treatment ends, without needing lifelong medication.
