Summary
This study looked at whether adding a small cut to a muscle near the anus during hemorrhoid surgery helps reduce pain after the operation. 200 adults with moderate to severe hemorrhoids took part. Researchers measured pain levels and any loss of bowel control in the days and weeks after surgery.
