Summary
This study tests a method to encourage mental health providers to prescribe smoking cessation medications to veterans with serious mental illness (SMI). Veterans with SMI smoke at much higher rates and die earlier, but few get help quitting. Researchers will interview providers and track training attendance to see if this approach works.
