First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study compares two surgical approaches for severe heel fractures. One group gets standard treatment, the other gets an additional subtalar joint fusion. The goal is to see if fusion reduces long-term pain and helps people return to work and daily activities sooner. About 218 adults with severe heel fractures will take part.
