Heated chemo during surgery shows promise for Tough-to-Treat ovarian cancer

Summary
This early-phase study tests whether giving a dose of heated chemotherapy directly into the abdomen during surgery can help lower the risk of cancer returning in people with advanced ovarian, fallopian tube, uterine, or peritoneal cancer. About 40 participants with stage III or IV disease will receive the heated chemo during tumor-removal surgery, and some may also get additional non-heated chemo afterward. The main goal is to check safety and side effects, while also tracking quality of life and how well the treatment controls the cancer.
