New heart study aims to improve how we measure valve disease

NCT ID NCT07112391

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study looks at how well the right side of the heart works with the lungs in people with heart valve problems. Researchers will use a thin tube (catheter) to get precise measurements and compare them to standard imaging tests like echocardiograms. The goal is to see if simpler, non-invasive tests can give the same information. About 70 adults with severe valve disease will take part.
