New heart valve device offers hope for those born with heart defects

NCT ID NCT03130777

Summary

This study is testing a new medical device designed to help people born with poorly functioning pulmonary heart valves. The device combines a support structure with a replacement valve, delivered through a catheter without open-heart surgery. Researchers want to see if this approach is safe and effective at controlling pulmonary valve disease in 86 participants who have moderate or severe valve leakage.
