Massive 90,000-Person study questions routine heart checks for diabetics
NCT ID NCT04534530
Summary
This study aims to find out if routinely screening for hidden heart disease in people with type 2 diabetes who are at very high risk is a good use of healthcare resources. Researchers will analyze the health records of 90,000 French patients to compare the costs and outcomes of those who were screened versus those who were not. The goal is to determine which approach—screening or not screening—provides better value for the healthcare system.
