NCT ID NCT07252830
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at 1000 people with high cholesterol to see if using ultrasound scans of the neck and heart arteries can find more people at very high risk of a heart attack than the usual risk calculator (SCORE2). The goal is to see if imaging helps doctors decide who needs stronger treatment. Participants are adults aged 40-80 with no prior heart disease.
