Can a Heart-Slowing pill keep your arteries young?
NCT ID NCT02584439
Summary
This study aimed to understand if lowering a person's heart rate with a medication called ivabradine could improve the flexibility and health of their arteries. It involved 30 healthy adults who took either the drug or a placebo for 8 days. Researchers measured changes in artery stiffness and function to see if slowing the heart could benefit blood vessel health, especially as people age.
