New pump mode may help heart patients during tricky surgery

NCT ID NCT07588399

First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests two settings on a temporary heart pump used during a high-risk procedure to open blocked arteries in people with weak hearts. Half of the 50 participants will get an automatic pump setting that adjusts flow as needed, while the other half gets a fixed lower flow. The goal is to see if the automatic setting helps complete the procedure more safely and without complications.
