Shielding hearts from cancer treatment damage

Summary
This study aims to find the best strategy to protect heart function in breast cancer patients receiving a specific cancer treatment (trastuzumab) that can sometimes weaken the heart. Researchers are testing whether giving a heart-protecting drug called carvedilol before treatment starts, or only when early signs of heart stress appear, works better. They're also studying whether patients should continue taking this protective drug for a year after cancer treatment ends or stop it sooner.
