Tiny monitor could help keep heart shock patients out of hospital

Summary
This study is testing if a small sensor implanted in the lung artery can help manage patients after a life-threatening heart failure event called cardiogenic shock. The device continuously monitors heart pressure, and doctors hope this data will help them adjust medications to prevent patients from being readmitted to the hospital or dying. The trial will enroll 40 adults who survived such an event and were recently discharged from the hospital.
