New study tracks heart strain in ventilator patients

Summary
This study watches how the heart changes in adults with severe lung injury (ARDS) who need a breathing machine. Doctors will use heart ultrasounds and track medications to see how often right heart failure occurs and how it evolves. The goal is to learn more, not to test a new treatment. About 500 intensive care patients will take part.
