Summary
This study looks at how the heart and lungs affect each other in adults with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), a severe lung injury often caused by infections. Researchers will track 500 intensive care patients on ventilators using heart ultrasounds and medication records. The goal is to better understand when and why right heart failure occurs, which could improve future care.
