Community health workers fight heart disease in overlooked farmworker women
NCT ID NCT07111026
Summary
This study tests whether a peer support program led by community health workers can improve heart health for migrant farmworker women. The program aims to reduce stress and social isolation while helping women access community resources. Researchers will compare this intensive support to basic health information to see which approach better improves diet, activity, blood pressure, and diabetes risk.
