Heart helpers need help too: new study targets home health aides' heart health

NCT ID NCT07067398

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study aims to improve the heart health of home health aides, a group that often neglects their own health while caring for others. Forty home health aides will take part in a 10-week program called Life's Essential 8, guided by trained peer coaches. The program focuses on healthy eating, exercise, sleep, and stress management. Researchers want to see if the program is well-liked and if it actually improves participants' heart health.
