Summary

This 12-week trial is testing whether a daily omega-3 supplement, called Omega Active, can increase blood levels of DHA and EPA—two fatty acids linked to heart and cognitive health. Healthy adults aged 18-65 will take two capsules daily and provide blood samples at the start and end of the study. Participants will also report any changes in their thinking, digestion, and overall well-being through questionnaires. The study aims to see if the supplement can effectively raise these important fats in the body.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Omega Active supplement (omega-3 fatty acids)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could support the use of omega-3 supplements to improve blood levels of DHA and EPA, which are important for heart and brain health.
What could go wrong
This is a small, single-arm study without a placebo group, so results may not prove cause and effect. Also, self-reported outcomes are subjective and may not reflect objective benefits.
