Doctors search for clues in heart scans to predict patient survival
NCT ID NCT07439159
Summary
This study aims to understand if a specific type of heart ultrasound, done right when a patient is admitted to the hospital for worsening heart failure, can predict their risk of being readmitted or dying later. Researchers will scan 76 patients before they receive standard IV diuretic treatment and then track their health outcomes for over a year. The goal is to identify early warning signs that could help doctors better manage high-risk patients.
