New device offers hope for Fluid-Logged heart failure patients

NCT ID NCT03836079

Summary

This study tested a device called the preCARDIA System to see if it could safely help people with severe, worsening heart failure. The device temporarily blocks a major vein in the chest to help the body remove excess fluid when standard medications aren't working well enough. The trial involved 60 participants to check if the device was safe and performed as intended.
