Research investigates why heart failure tests may differ between races
NCT ID NCT05224557
Summary
This study aims to understand if African American and Caucasian patients with new heart failure show different levels of key blood markers that doctors use for diagnosis and treatment decisions. Researchers will compare 400 patients from both racial groups who are experiencing their first heart failure episode. The goal is to determine if current medical guidelines need adjustment to account for potential racial differences in these important test results.
