Summary
This study looked at 309 older adults with a type of heart failure called HFpEF to understand why some develop atrial fibrillation (AFib), an irregular heartbeat. Researchers measured fluid pressure in the body and brain using ultrasound and found that higher pressure in the veins and around the brain was linked to AFib. The goal was to better understand these connections, not to test a new treatment.
