Summary
This study aims to understand how a specific heart medication (mavacamten) works in people with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a condition where the heart muscle thickens and obstructs blood flow. Researchers will use a specialized, non-invasive MRI scan to measure the 'energy score' of the heart muscle in 20 participants before and after they take the medication. The goal is to see if the drug's benefits come from restoring the heart's fundamental energy balance, which could help doctors better monitor treatment in the future.
