Smartphone app may predict heart problems without ultrasound

NCT ID NCT07558109

First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether a smartphone app (DigitHeart-2) can accurately predict heart structure and function from a simple ECG picture. About 478 adults who need an echocardiogram will have their ECG photo analyzed by the app, and the results will be compared to the standard ultrasound. The goal is to see if this technology can provide a quick, accessible way to assess heart health.
