Two drugs better than one? study tests cholesterol combo for High-Risk hearts

NCT ID NCT05761444

Summary

This study tested if adding a second cholesterol drug, ezetimibe, to a common statin (atorvastatin) works better than the statin alone for very high-risk heart disease patients. It involved 137 adults with existing heart or blood vessel disease who needed better cholesterol control. The main goal was to see if the two-drug combination lowered 'bad' cholesterol (LDL-C) more effectively after 6 and 12 weeks.
