Two drugs beat one in fight against dangerous cholesterol

NCT ID NCT05761444

Summary

This study tested if starting two cholesterol-lowering drugs together works better than one for people at very high risk of heart attack or stroke. It compared the combination of ezetimibe and atorvastatin against atorvastatin alone in 137 patients. The main goal was to see which treatment lowered 'bad' LDL cholesterol more effectively over 6 and 12 weeks.
