Heart plug showdown: which device better prevents strokes?

NCT ID NCT07260474

Summary

This study aims to compare two different heart devices used to close off a small pouch in the heart called the left atrial appendage. The goal is to prevent strokes in people with a specific heart rhythm problem (atrial fibrillation) who are at high risk for bleeding and cannot safely take blood thinners. Researchers will randomly assign 200 participants to receive one of the two devices and then track how well each one works and how safe it is over 90 days.
