Heart procedure vs pills: which works better for the oldest patients?
NCT ID NCT07442526
Summary
This study compares two approaches for treating completely blocked heart arteries in patients aged 80 and older. It tests whether a minimally invasive procedure to open the blockage (PCI) works better than optimal medication alone. Researchers are looking at which approach leads to fewer heart problems, better survival, and improved quality of life for this older age group.
