Scientists scan hearts to unlock secrets of deadly protein buildup
NCT ID NCT02641145
Summary
This study aims to better understand how a rare protein called amyloid damages the heart in people with a condition called light chain amyloidosis. Researchers will use advanced heart scans and blood tests to see how the protein affects the heart and if chemotherapy helps. The goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to better future treatments for this serious disease.
