Can free healthy meals and group coaching help fight heart disease and diabetes?
NCT ID NCT06460272
Summary
This study tested whether delivering healthy, culturally appropriate meals, with or without weekly group coaching sessions, could help people manage conditions like high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and obesity. It involved 75 Black adults from a specific Cleveland community. The main goal was to see if people would sign up, stay in the program, and find it helpful, while also checking for changes in weight, blood sugar, and blood pressure.
