Can taxes and warning labels on junk food in online stores make us healthier?

NCT ID NCT07422922

Summary

This study aims to see if a set of online shopping policies can help people make healthier food choices to prevent chronic diseases. Researchers will recruit 300 adults with lower incomes to shop in a simulated online grocery store and restaurant for six weeks. They will test the effects of adding taxes and warning labels to unhealthy, ultra-processed foods and changing what products are shown at checkout.
