First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study aims to find out what kind of health risk messages work best for adults who smoke on some days but not every day. Researchers will test different messages (health vs. social, positive vs. negative) with 320 participants to see which ones increase knowledge, worry, risk perception, and motivation to quit. The goal is to encourage these occasional smokers to quit completely.
