NCT ID NCT07369479
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a 6-week program designed for people with high blood pressure who have low health literacy. Participants attend group sessions and get phone coaching to learn how to manage their condition. The goal is to see if this approach can lower blood pressure better than usual care alone.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- health literacy-tailored self-management intervention (behavioral)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this program could offer a practical, low-cost way for people with low health literacy to better control their blood pressure.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial (170 people) testing a behavioral intervention, not a drug. Results may not apply to other populations or settings.
