New program aims to close heart health gap for marginalized groups

Summary
This study tests a program called Health Impact 360 to improve heart health, mental well-being, and social support in adults from marginalized communities. About 328 participants will join group sessions twice a week for 8 weeks, then once a week for another 8 weeks, and track their activity with a pedometer. Researchers will compare their progress to a control group that receives the program later.
