New two-step transplant method aims to cut deaths in blood cancer patients

NCT ID NCT05031897

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests a two-step method using lower doses of radiation and chemotherapy before a stem cell transplant for people with various blood cancers or bone marrow failure. The goal is to see if this gentler approach reduces the chance of dying from the transplant itself. About 63 participants will be followed for two years to measure survival and cancer relapse.
